- Starting with head or torso – no rules.
- Notice pinching / stretching.
30 second gestures.
- Feel too short? You might be new, or over thinking it.
- Look for the motion, not contour.
- Focusing on contour too much will make you draw unnecessary things.
- Draw that you feel, not what you see.
- Centerline.
2 minute gestures.
- Taking 10 seconds to analyze the pose is wise.
- Consider the thickness of the parts.
- Upside down heart for the breast.
- As you get more comfortable ignoring the details, consider the form and move to a more structural approach. Tapering of thickness.
- Draw smart, not fast.
- Drawing as fast as possible will lead to messy lines. Simplify the form. Keep lines clean and accurate.
- Look for rhythm to the tip of fingers. Find continuous flow.
- C curve important in making model look relaxed.

- For portfolio, probably th elonger short poses and long poses are good? I should check with the admission office again.
- I see things little bit differently than when I first saw this video 4 years ago!
